Several thousand people returned to their homes Monday after authorities said two rail cars carrying liquid petroleum gas were not damaged in a derailment.

Grand Chute Fire Chief Mark Heling said nothing had leaked and there was no apparent structural damage to either tanker car. Crews from Wisconsin Central Ltd., the railroad involved, put the cars back on the tracks.The tankers had been leaning but had not tipped over. The cause of Sunday's derailment had not been determined.
