Officers chased and arrested a Salt Lake man after he allegedly broke into a Provo business and stole several weapons.
The man, 28, was apprehended by police early Friday, said Provo Police Lt. Greg Du Val. The man broke a glass window and entered Derrell's Barber Shop, at 333 W. 100 North about 4 a.m., Du Val said.The man took several firearms from the business and drove away in a vehicle that was stolen in Orem, Du Val said. However, a neighbor had heard the glass being broken and called police. When officers arrived on the scene to talk with the neighbor, she saw the man's vehicle drive by and alerted police, who immediately began to chase the suspect.
After a short chase, the man was apprehended and booked into the Utah County Jail for investigation of burglary, auto theft and evading arrest.
