Morgan Duane Evans, 76 of Lehi, died peacefully at his home after a short illness.
He was born August 5, 1921 in Lehi, Utah to Noble and Lela Varney Evans. Married Alva Fenn, December 14, 1946 in Elko, Nevada. He was an electrician and retired from US Steel, Geneva. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the LDS Church and had served on the Lehi Civic Improvement Association and Lehi Fire Department. He had also been a member of the Lehi Riding Club, the Lehi Wildlife Association, the JC's, and Junior Chamber of Commerce.Survived by his wife of Lehi; sons and daughter, Lonnie Neal Evans, Ophir, Utah; Kerry Morgan; Mitchell Duane Evans; Alyson (Max) Smith, all of Lehi; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother and sister, Don N. (Laura Jean) Evans, Orem; LaRae Shelley, American Fork. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Merle Evans.
Funeral will be held Thursday, Nov. 6, 11 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi, where friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to the services. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery with military honors.
