Victor Lloyd Morris, age 78, died November 3, 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born March 12, 1919 in American Falls, Idaho to George Williams Morris and Margaret Call Morris. Married Geraldine Rueckert on June 9, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Attended the University of Utah and graduated from BYU in 1948 with a journalism degree. Later received his Teaching certificate from the U of U. He touched many lives during his 40 years of teaching in the Granite School District. A dedicated member of the LDS Church, he served in many positions including serving a full-time mission in Northern California, ward mission leader, stake missionary, teacher, youth leader, bishopric counselor, and faithful ward choir member of 40 years in the 26th Ward. He loved music and was an accomplished saxophone and guitar player. He had his own dance band and played in many other groups over the years. Music brought him great joy. A more loving, kind, and gentle man could not be found. He was truly loved by all. We will miss him.

Survived by his wife; son, Blair (Caroline) Morris of Centerville, UT; daughter, Janeal (Dwayne) McOmie of Bountiful, UT; grandchildren, Nathan, Jeff (Melissa), John, Chad, and Carrie Morris; Mark, Douglas, Holly, Kelli, and Kevin McOmie; sister, Ruth Biddulph of Santa Barbara, CA; two brothers, Leonard (Afton) of Solana Beach, CA and Jack (Beverly) of Salt Lake. Preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; one sister; and a daughter, Vicki Lee.

Funeral services Thursday, November 6, 1997, 12 noon, Rose Park 9th Ward Chapel, 756 North 1200 West. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m. and at the Ward on Thursday, 10:30-11:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
