Phoebe Rose Bugger Robins, 83, died Sunday morning, November 2, 1997 at her home in Layton.
Phoebe was born March 17, 1914 in Layton, a daughter of Joseph J. Bugger and Annie Browning. She married Allan Day Robins, March 19, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and she has lived all her life in Layton. She and her husband raised cattle, turkeys, pine trees and varied vegetables, as a hobby. They planned and built their own home and it was beautifully landscaped.Phoebe graduated from Davis High School in 1933. She was always an active member of the LDS Church and spent many hours in the MIA and Relief Society Stake organizations. One of her last assignments was as secretary to the Sunday School, which she held for seven years. She worked for 31 years at the Layton Postal Service, retiring in 1982 as the Assistant Post Master.
Phoebe is survived by three sisters and two brothers, Annie Adams, Ogden; Barbara Thomassen, Kaysville; Deborah (Lewis) Khoury, Kaysville; J.A. Bugger, Bountiful; Burke Bugger, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, November 7, 1997 at the Canyon Rim LDS Ward Chapel, 2435 E. 1550 No., Layton. Friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1074 No. Fairfield Rd. and Friday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church with Bishop Don Erekson officiating. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
