The only thing the three Lindon candidates had to fear in this year's election was the possibility of an unforeseen write-in candidate pulling a major upset. But that never happened.

Mayor Larry Ellertson, who has been serving in the position for one year, ran opposed and garnered 485 votes. Jeff Acerson and H. Toby Bath, the two candidates seeking the two four-year council seats, also won with 464 and 424 votes, respectively. Results are complete but unofficial.Just 16 percent of registered voters cast ballots, approximately half of normal, according to city manager Ott Dameron.
