Construction of a pipeline and a road in Diamond Fork Canyon are complete.

The pipeline is part of a system that will eventually deliver water from Strawberry Valley to south Utah and Juab counties. The road to Monks Hollow is now paved. The Central Utah Water Conservancy District recently decided not build a dam in the narrow hollow.Uinta National Forest spokeswoman Loyal Clark said parking areas are being built throughout the canyon for fishing and recreation access. Crews also are still putting up fences, signs and guard rails and planting seeds. That work should be done by Dec. 1.

The coming months are critical in allowing the vegetation to become established, said Clark. She asked that visitors to the canyon stay on designated routes.
