Talk about an easy victory.

Sole-mayoral candidate Jerry Larrabee easily won a second term by racking up 749 votes. A few wrote in mayoral candidates, but there were no significant campaigns, according to complete but unofficial results. The Woods Cross election did have some competition. One incumbent, Darin Hicks, and three newcomers battled for two seats on the City Council.

Hicks brought in the most votes. Winning feels better the second time, he said.

"This victory feels better because it tells me that the citizens support what I'm doing. It was a vote of confidence," he said.

Voters also elected lifetime resident Ted R. Cahoon.

"This was my first political venture. It's always fun to win the first time out of the shoot," he said.

Lane Antry (Wickizer) and Kelly Class were also vying for seats on the council, but came up short.

Woods Cross leaders will face issues ranging from the Legacy Highway to growth during the next few years.
