Arthur M. Willis passed away quietly on November 4, 1997.
Born Sept. 9, 1914 in Tropic, Utah to Arthur Earl and Leah Willis. Arthur married Ethel Larsen, April 23, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They later served as missionaries in Canada together. He worked as a welder for 30 years and retired from Kennecott Mining Corp. He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy Seabees. Arthur loved children and served as a scouting executive with the Boy Scouts of America for a number of years. He loved the out doors and the special times he was able to share with his family.Survived by his children, Donald (Hydee) Willis; Jane (Brent) Handley; Ray (Rebecca) Willis; Vickie (Richard) Ott; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita Brown and Mae Hardy. Preceded in death by his wife, Ethel; sister, Earleen; and brother, Allen.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997 at the West Valley 2nd Ward, 2820 West 3590 So. at 1 p.m. with one hour prior to viewing. There will be an evening viewing from 6-8 p.m., Friday at the church. Burial, Sunset Garden Cemetery.
