Don't be fooled by Bambi's seemingly innocent demeanor. Just ask Richard Harris about the damage a doe can inflict.
He found out the hard way when his mobile home got wrecked by a deer that bounded through the window. Harris said this week he figures the animal was spooked by barking dogs. While Harris and his wife, Lynn, were running errands Saturday, the deer careened across the dining room table, crashed through wallboard into the laundry room and wound up in the master bedroom. It bounced high enough on the bed to put holes in the ceiling.
"Thank goodness no one was home, especially our grandbaby," Harris said. "Those wild animals can go crazy when they're enclosed."
