Senior guard Alex Fisher scored 25 points, 17 in the second half, to lead the White Team to a 58-55 win over the Purple Team in Weber State's annual intrasquad game that featured two 15-minute halves.
The White Team was coached by Joe Cravens, while Guy Beach guided the Purples. WSU head coach, Ron Abegglen, watched from the stands."We've got a long way to go, but I was pleased with a few things out there," said Abegglen. "Andy Jensen's presence inside is going to make us a better team. He showed a lot of hustle and leadership out there. Our two seniors, Alex Fisher and Jimmy Smith, both played well."
Jensen, who sat out last season as a redshirt, led the Purple Team with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Damien Baskerville added 13 and Mark Lawson, a walk-on from Tooele High School via Salt Lake Community College, had 10 points.
Ryan Jama, last year's Big Sky Conference Co-Freshman of the Year, did not play.
Jama suffered torn ligaments in his right ankle two weeks ago and just returned to practice Tuesday.
