Adam Cnossen of Portland, Ore., tells a bit of history of the American Orient Express to Salt Lakers Janet, Craig and Kara Finlayson. The express, one of the world's most elegant trains, rolled into Utah Wednesday, making stops in Salt Lake City and Ogden. The restored 1940s and 1950s passenger train is on its way from Denver to San Francisco. Some 100 passengers - most of them members of the Smithsonian Institute - are aboard the train to get a real-life experience of train travel. The passengers toured Ogden's Union Station Wednesday evening and left Thursday morning.
