Ruth Follett Ashcroft, 93, of Hyde Park, died Monday, November 3, 1997 at the Cottonwood Hospital in Salt Lake City. She had been living with her daughter in Salt Lake City.
She was born August 19, 1904 in Hyde Park, Utah a daughter of Frank Labon and Hattie Gibson Follett. She married Aura N. Ashcroft on February 4, 1929 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died May 16, 1994. She had worked as an inspector at the Logan Knitting Mills. She was an expert seamstress and also worked at Lundstrom Furniture.She is survived by a daughter, Greta and David Doutre, Salt Lake City; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a twin sister, Ruby F. Balls, Hyde Park; one sister-in-law, Golda Follett, Hyde Park. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Jr. and Jack Niles Follett and three sisters, Grace Winn, Florence Rigby and Delora Rash.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Hyde Park 2nd Ward. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 11 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Hyde Park City Cemetery.
