New Jersey's newest lottery millionaire plans to donate half of her nearly $12 million Pick 6 jackpot to her church.Eleanor Boyer, 72, is a longtime volunteer at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church who can now give more than her time.
"The good Lord's looking out for me," Boyer said. "I always said if I won, I would give some to the church."
Boyer picked up her $11.8 million lump-sum prize Friday at the stationery store where she bought Monday's winning ticket.
Boyer plans to donate $5 million to $6 million to the church and will give much of the rest to relatives and local organizations, with no plans to splurge on herself.
