Zula Floyd Gordon Nelson, 88, passed away Wednesday December 17, 1997 due to incidents of age.

Born December 14, 1909 at Provo Bench (Orem), Utah, She was the daughter of James Milton Gordon and Lucy Bullock Jackson. She married Carl Henry Nelson July 18, 1927 in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Carl passed away in 1977.She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings throughout her life. She also was very active in the ladies auxiliary of the Miners Union in Park City. She had a wonderful voice and sang at many functions. She was a generous giving mother and sister and her home was open to everyone.

She was a talented decorator for ZCMI and Evans Interiors for many years retiring at age 65, but working until she was 73 for ZCMI.

She is survived by two sons, Tom (Shirley) Nelson, Logan and Karl (Arva) Nelson, South Jordan, and two daughters, Lila (James) Berry, Cottonwood and Sheri (Roger) Fitt, Murray. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Max Gordon, Spanish Fork and LeLan Gordon, Provo; sister-in-law Stella Gordon Holman, Heber; niece Margaret Orgill, Murray and close friend, Bonnie Doyle.

Funeral services will be Saturday Dec. 20, 1997 at 11 a.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, where friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
