The Utah Grizzlies open their post-Christmas schedule Friday with their fourth game against Long Beach in 17 days. Faceoff is set for 8 p.m. at the Long Beach Arena.

The Grizz (20-9-4) are 5-0-1 against the defending Western Conference champion Ice Dogs this season, but have lost three straight games on the road. Utah is 0-for-11 on power-play opportunities during the losses to San Antonio, Houston and Kansas City.SLAP SHOTS: The International Hockey League has finally handed down punishments for the Dec. 18 fight been Claude Jutras of Long Beach and Utah's Rhett Trombley. Jutras is out for seven games, while Trombley will miss five outings. . . . The Grizzlies play at San Antonio Saturday. Utah's next home game is Dec. 31 against Houston. The Aeros hold a one-point lead over the Grizzlies in the Southwest Division standings.
