Jack Frost is spending the holidays in Utah.
Temperatures have dipped to single digits in communities along the Wasatch Front.The mercury in Salt Lake City dropped to 8 degrees early Friday.
"That's plenty cold, but nothing outrageous," said Dave Sanders of the National Weather Service. The area record on Dec. 26 was minus 6.
Subzero marks were recorded Friday in Logan and Milford, where temperatures bot-tomed out at minus 10 and minus 14, respectively.
