No. 1-ranked BYU spikers win again
PROVO - The No. 1-ranked BYU men's volleyball team triumphed again Saturday night, beating The State University of New Jersey Rutgers' Raiders in three games 15-12, 15-6 and 15-5.
The win raised the Cougars' record to 14-1 overall and 9-1 in the Mountain League.
Justin Spain, a junior middle blocker, made the first kill of the night, but Ryan Millar took the lead in kills with 23 during the course of the game.
"It was a rough start," Coach Carl McGown said. "Once the competitive juices started to flow, they did really well."
The Cougars will next compete with Long Beach State in a league match in the Smith Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. on Friday.
