Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son, Bernard Sanford Walker, Jr., 56, died March 14, 1997 of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Bud was born October 15, 1940, in Denver, Colorado, to Bernard Sanford and Wanda Arrowsmith Walker. Following a successful full-time LDS mission to the New England Mission, he married Bonnie Jean Cottrell on January 30, 1964, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are parents of 10 children.Bud was a hard and devoted worker in a number of different business activities during his professional career. Most recently, he owned and operated Walker Insurance Agency, where he served his clients with care and devotion. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church throughout his life, and he served as Sunday School teacher, bishop's counselor, high councilor, ward chorister and choir leader. More than anything else, he was passionate about his family. He loved Bonnie, his children and his grandchildren with a fervent, abiding love and he was the glue that held his extended family of brothers and sisters together. His profound impact on our lives and his place in our hearts will endure forever.

Preceded in death by his beloved mother and eldest sister, Jean Ellen, he is survived by his wife, of Sandy; his children, Bernard S. III (Kristin), Provo; Julie (Brad) Beckstrom, Boise, Idaho; Cathy (Mike) DeMie, Riverton; Michael, Kearns; Jim (Natalie), Sandy; Dan (Stephanie), Murray; and David, Aaron, Chrissy, and Laura, all of Sandy; 12 beautiful grandchildren; his father, Bernard, Centerville; brothers and sisters, Helen Jo (Clive) Murphy, Glendora, Calif; Richard A. (Judy), San Dimas, Calif; Robert M. (Kristen), Mesa, Ariz.; Wanda Lynne (Ronald) Funk, Laguna Hills, Calif; Kathy (Michael) Rawson, Salem, Utah; and Joseph B. (Anita), American Fork.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 18, 1997 at 12 Noon in the Alta Heights LDS Ward, 1500 East 8600 South in Sandy. Friends may call Monday 7-9 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East or Tuesday at the Church one hour prior to the service. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
