Don't look for the city's new history book this summer as previously announced. It's going to be late - perhaps a Christmas time arrival. However, that's OK with city officials.
"We want a good product," City Manager Jack Bippes said, explaining the comprehensive aspect of the publication, the city's first true history book, is taking longer than anticipated.Bippes said Linda Mabey, who is compiling the history, is still looking for local writers who can assist her with the book.
Vintage photographs of the city are also in demand. Mabey can be reached at 825-2152.
