Loving father, devoted husband and respected physician, Dr. Henry Kendall "Ken" Bunnell, 59, passed away at home Monday, March 3, 1997.

He was born May 30, 1937 at Salt Lake City, Utah the son of Maeser Kendall and Maxine Staker Bunnell. He married Tammy Lynn Johnson, November 12, 1988 at Hillsboro, Oregon. He received his M.D. Degree in 1962 from the University of Utah Medical School. His internship was in the U.S. Navy in Pensacola, Florida.He practiced in Coos Bay, Oregon, a private practice in Hillsboro, Oregon and the last few years in Soda Springs, Idaho. Was presently Medical Director of the Caribou Memorial Nursing Home, and Home Health in Soda Springs, a Caribou County Emergency Services Coordinator and Chief of Staff at the Caribou Memorial Hospital. Ken enjoyed spending time with his family; hunting and fishing; using his talents in Pen and Ink drawings; listening to his large Jazz collection and performing magic tricks for patients and friends. He was an active member of Ducks Unlimited for over 25 years; and had recently served as district chairman.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Lynn, Soda Springs; one son and four daughters, Henry K. Bunnell, Jr., Los Angeles, CA; Taryn Elyse Bunnell, Soda Springs, ID; Vanessa Marie Bunnell, Portland, OR; Cheryl Riley, Vancouver, WA; Gaye Reid, Katy, TX; five grandchildren; sister, Judy Draper, Salt Lake.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 7, 1997 at 12 noon at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Soda Springs. The Bunnell family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Caribou Memorial Nursing Home. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home, Soda Springs, ID.
