SHARE Utahn’s short about sculptor will be shown by the Film & Video Center

The Utah Film & Video Center presents "Poetic Dream Space," a special one-night-only screening of the new short film by Provo filmmaker Steve W. Olpin, on Friday, April 11.

In "Poetic Dream Space," Olpin follows New York sculptor Brower Hatcher as he works on a new piece combining traditional clay sculpting and metal welding.Also included in the screening will be "Dwight's Dogs," a short Olpin made about a Teasdale farmer and his "cow dogs," "Images," Luis Ruiz's short about local sculptor Neil Hadlock, and "Pursuit," an experimental film shot in New York, southern Utah and rural Idaho, with music by local band Blue Alien.

The screening will start at 8 p.m. in the Salt Lake Art Center's Creer Auditorium, 20 S. West Temple. Admission is $5. For more information on it or other film center programs, phone 534-1158.
