Rocks once again closed the Provo Canyon road early Thursday afternoon.

Crews planned to spend the day Friday clearing debris 2 to 3 feet deep approximately 200 feet farther toward the canyon mouth than earlier slide activity.Harry Bateman, Utah Department of Transportation station supervisor, said construction crews were working in the area but not blasting.

"We're just kind of at the mercy of Mother Nature here," said Bateman.

Barricades and UDOT vehicles blocked access to the canyon. However, Sundance is accessible.
