A West Valley teen is in jail after he allegedly sexually abused another Granger High School student.

A female student at Granger High told police she and a boy were riding in a car near 3500 South and 3100 West April 21 when the boy poked her in the breast with his finger, according to 3rd District Court charges.Later that day, while at a fast-food restaurant, 3100 West and 3500 South, the boy grabbed the girl by the underwear and lifted her up. The boy repeated the same act while both were at the Granger High parking lot, the charges say. Both instances caused the girl distress and physical pain.

Two days later, the boy confronted the girl at Granger High, grabbed her head by the hair and pushed her head down to his crotch area, the charges say. The boy then told the girl to perform a sex act on him.

The boy was arrested later that day. A marijuana cigarette was found in his wallet, and authorities also searched the boy's locker and found a club about 14 inches long and a knife, court documents say.

The suspect, 17, has been charged with multiple felony and misdemeanor counts.

Prosecutors say the suspect was previously certified as an adult. He is being held at the Salt Lake County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
