Helen McMullin Johnson, 91, died April 26, 1997, in Draper, Utah.

Born August 7, 1905, in Price, Utah, the daughter of Albert and Barbara Ann McMullin. Married Henry C. Johnson May 1, 1933, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.An active member of the LDS Church, Helen was blessed with many callings. She was the first woman missionary from South Jordan and completed a mission in Vancouver, British Columbia. She served in the Relief Society, Primary and Sunday School. She was particularly pleased to design and paint the scenery for many road show productions.

Painting and handicrafts were other special loves of Helen. Her oil and water color paintings and her beautiful embroidery and crochet work will continue to brighten the lives of so many of her family and friends.

Survived by five daughters, Nancy Johnson of New York City, Nola Jensen (Dell), Charlotte Rasmussen, Shirley Pierce (Niles), of Sandy, Flavo Johnson (James) of Salt Lake City; 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; brother, DeLoy McMullin (Gwen) of Redding California.

Preceded in death by her husband, Henry; daughter, Beverly Hawker (Leon).

Funeral services Wednesday, April 30, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
