Sonja Faye Christenson Walton, age 57, died Saturday, April 26, 1997 at her home in Bloomington, Utah.

She was born April 18, 1940 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, the only child of Dr. L.P. and Mildred C. Christenson. She was affectionately called "Skip" by her father. She married Leonard Delahoussaye on October 21, 1958 in Phoenix, Arizona. They later divorced. She married G. Gary Walton in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 17, 1979.Sonja was reared and educated in Coleraine, Minnesota and Phoenix, Arizona. She retired from U S West after 28 years of service. She loved gardening and all animals. Sonja was a great craftsperson, seamstress, and cross stitcher and she enjoyed bowling and playing tennis.

Survivors include her husband, Gary of Santa Clara, Utah; two daughters, Paula (husband, Chris) Bianco of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Michelle (husband, Dave) Imlay of Hurricane, Ut; a son, Mark (wife, Debbie) Delahoussaye of Las Vegas, NV; five stepchildren, G. Robert (wife, Evette) Walton of Taylorsville; Sylva L. Walton of Grand Junction, CO: Lona J. (husband, Mark) Slager, and James P. Walton, both Murray; and Jozet L. (husband, Rick) Noyes of Holladay; 15 grandchildren; her parents, Dr. L.P. and Mildred C. Christenson of Mesa, AZ.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 30, 1997, at 11 a.m., at the Spilsbury & Beard Mortuary Chapel, 110 South Bluff Street, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be at the Santa Clara City Cemetery, directed by Spilsbury & Beard Mortuary. 673-2454
