We are revisiting the question: can fat-free taste good? Jell-O wants you to try its new fat-free instant pudding and pie filling. The white chocolate, devil's food, chocolate or vanilla flavored pudding mix retails for 75 for a 3.4-ounce package.

Nihla Lake (married, two children at home): "Warning! Do not try the following at your home. I am allergic to milk products, so my husband had the bright idea of mixing our white chocolate pudding with a non-dairy product I normally use on my cereal. We beat it up as instructed and waited five minutes - it was not soft-set and ready to eat. After sitting in the refrigerator overnight, it was still not set. It was the best and only pudding we ever drank."Edyth Jensen (married, one daughter and two grandkids at home): "we have tried the chocolate `free' pudding before and will continue to use it. The flavor is the same as before and it is still as creamy as usual. It doesn't require any cream to enhance the flavor."

Don Russell (married, five children at home, ages 6-16): "This pudding didn't yield a lot of surprises. Our devil's food variety had the usual dark chocolaty flavor and was quite sweet. Like other instant puddings, it was very quick and simple to make. The only fat in this pudding is derived from the milk you put in it. I label this dessert as one kids would enjoy making and eating after school."

Linda C. Tingey (single mother, two teenage boys at home): "The white chocolate flavor was very tasty. You couldn't detect a lot of white chocolate flavor, but it was a nice change from regular chocolate. My kids love pudding and they enjoyed another flavor of chocolate. I'll probably buy this again."

Rich Firmage (married, four children, oldest 12 years old): "We tried the white chocolate flavor. It mixed up real easy with no lumps. It also tasted real good. It didn't taste like white chocolate, but whatever flavor it was, it was good. Some of my kids liked it and some didn't, but what else is new? We don't buy pudding ever, but if I did I would get this."

Conclusion: This is a really tasty fat-free pudding, especially the white chocolate flavor. But Nihla Lake warns you, unless you want to drink yours, be sure to use milk to mix it!
