Janet Fay Jackson concluded her days on earth Sunday, April 27, 1997, and immediately entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she loved and served with her whole life.

(II Corinthians 5:8).

Jan's life was dedicated to sharing the good news of God's grace through Jesus Christ with all she met. All who knew her were touched by her love, joy, and gracious hospitality.She was born April 24, 1938 in Redwood City, Calif., to John Elvin and Virginia Fay Hartsough Ralston. Married Harold Jackson in Menlo Park, Calif. Dec. 28, 1979. She was a member of the Southeast Baptist Church and loved serving as a missionary.

Survivors, husband, Harold; children, Debbe Jackson, Kevin Jackson, Julie Wright, Paul Jackson, Dan Sayles, David Jackson, Mike Sayles, Jeff Sayles, and Chris Jackson; and 15 grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 30, at 7 p.m. in the Southeast Baptist Church, 1700 East Fort Union Blvd. (7200 South). In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions to the Southeast Baptist Church in memory of Jan. Interment, Alta Mesa Cemetery, Palo Alto, Calif.
