Ira Kay Greer, the only child of Stephen Ira and Jessie Carter, passed away peacefully May 8, l997.
Kay "Sook" was born January 5, 1927, in Spanish Fork, Utah. He attended schools, in Provo, and Salt Lake, graduating from South High, and receiving a degree in Zoology from the U of U. He owned and operated Western Wool Company until his retirement in 1991.He was married to Marilyn VanHorn, later divorced. He married Susan Vance Yeates, on May 19, 1990. He had two children, Nancy G. Wilkinson (Leigh), and Steven Kay Greer and nine grandchildren.
He was an avid pilot, tennis player, baseball player and skier. He loved history and traveled extensively. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Graveside services for the family and friends will be at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, Tuesday, May 13, 1997 at 12 noon where friends may call 10:30 a.m. till 12 noon
