Kerry Lynn Ross I was born Jan. 3, 1957 in Salt Lake City to Artis and Ruth Connor Ross. Following a long struggle with emphysema and asthma, his Heavenly Father called him home to rest May 7, 1997.
He married Mary Crowe; later divorced.Kerry served in the U.S. Navy and after his discharge worked as a welder until his health forced him to leave the trade. He then worked at Utah State Surplus Property as a warehouseman until his illness progressed and he was no longer able to work.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Ross; sons, Kerry Lynn Ross II, and Chappell Griggs Ross; sisters, Dolores Salters and Tamera Coleman; brother, Reuben Ross; grandson, Elijah; godmother, Luvennia Edmondson; former wife, Mary Quintana; dear friends, Kaylene Griggs; aunts, Loubertha Glenn of Salisbury, NC; Joyce Connor of Stockton, CA; and Inez Connor of Salt Lake City; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kerry was preceded in death by his father.
