I am struggling to understand why the UTA board insists on the firing of UTA general manager John Pingree. When John took the helm at the UTA, the company was struggling and their budget was in the red. Now, many years later, the UTA is in the black, beginning light rail, and earning awards for being very well managed.
Mr. Pingree has managed the taxpayers' money efficiently and has begun light rail, which will benefit the entire state of Utah's air quality and transportation. Nothing seems to be broken, why do we need "a fresh start," as Dan Berman suggests?I think it is laughable that Randy Horiuchi and Dan Berman suggest that John Pingree has been too political. These two have been trying to stack the board in their favor to further their own political agenda for quite some time. Luckily, light rail was continued before they accomplished their goal. It will be shameful if we let John Pingree go because two unethical individuals from Salt Lake City are trying to control the entire state.
