The Taste of Ogden Festival will be held on Memorial Day in the downtown Municipal Park.

The festival will be May 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will use the theme of the newly renovated Egyptian Center, which encourages people to "Discover Utah's Hidden Jewel," focusing on the hidden riches of Ogden's ethnically and culturally diverse population.Sponsored by the Coalition for Celebrating our Diversity in Ogden, the festival provides a positive environment for learning to appreciate differences by sampling the food, music, dances and goods of the diverse people who comprise Ogden. In addition, there will be activities for children and information on health, safety and human services available in Ogden.

Cuisine offered this year will include samplings from China, Thailand, Mexico, Japan, India, Greecef and American Indian and popular American culture. Prices are kept low so that those attending can taste foods from many different cultures. In addition, there will be face painting, clowns, ethnic dancers, live bands and a children's art project booth.
