- SAUL BELLOW, at the age of 81, is embarking on his third literary magazine as editor.
Published just this month, the magazine is called News From the Republic of Letters, and the co-editor is Bellow's old friend and collaborator, Keith Botsford. The first issue has an excerpt from an unpublished Bellow novel called "View From Intensive Care" and excerpts from the works of other authors, including Emilio Lascano Tegui, an Argentine making his first appearance in English, the Israeli writer John Auerbach and the late Italian writer Arturo Loria.
