Barbara Hyde Schwinn, 80, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Hero, passed away May 9, 1997 after a long illness.
She was born March 18, 1917 in Snowville, Utah to Lester and Pearl Hickman Hyde. She married Sherman H. Schwinn April 1, 1936 and later divorced. Barbara's life work was in reaching out to help whomever and wherever she could. She was employed for 13 years at the Hotel Utah and eight years at Holy Cross Hospital. She will be remembered as a Helping Hand to some, a Life Line to many, and soulfully missed by all!She is survived by two sons, Robert Schwinn of Arizona and Kenneth Schwinn of Salt Lake City; three daughters, Betty (Ken) Walters of Ogden, Sharleen (Rex) Coon of Sandy, and Connie (Loyd) Barney of Park City; two brothers, Joe and Ken Hyde, both of Wyoming; three sisters, Hazel McGregor and Iola Frandsen, both of St. George, and Virginia Gutowski of California; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and onegreat-great grandson. She is preceeded in death by her mother, father, sisters, Myrtle Keyes and Colleen Hardy; and grandson, Randy Walters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12 noon, May 13, 1997 in the Wasatch lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive where friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. Interment to follow at Ben Lomand Cemetery, North Ogden, Utah.
