Born January 13, 1903, in Crescent, Utah, to John Thomas and Effie Ann Brown Lloyd. Attended Jordan High School. Upon the death of his father, he and his twin brother, Delmar, left school to work in sheep camps to help support their family.Married LaVerda Okerlund July 11, 1933, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A high priest in the LDS Church, he served in the bishopric of the Crescent Ward and later in the high priests group leadership of the Mt. Jordan 2nd Ward in Sandy. He was a dedicated home teacher.
