First, Paul Tracy ended a drought for the Roger Penske team. Now, he's started a winning streak.

Tracy won the Rio 400 on Sunday, taking the lead for good when Bobby Rahal ran out of fuel two laps from the end.It was his second straight victory, following a hard-fought win at Nazareth Speedway on April 27 that ended a string of 20 losses by the Penske team.

This time, the victory was almost a gift.

"I've never really had a race like this where it was just handed to me," Tracy said after the victory that boosted him into first place in the PPG Cup Champion standings with 65 points. Greg Moore finished in second place, 1.8 seconds off the lead in a Reynard-Mercedes. Scott Pruett was third in a Reynard-Cosworth. The Tracy-Rahal duel overshadowed a brilliant race by Alex Zanardi. The Italian driver, the winner at Long Beach on April 13, finished fourth after starting from 26th.
