Norma Alice Henrikson Ewing, 79, passed from this life to join her parents and her loving husband, May 12, 1997.

She was born August 31, 1917 in Midway, Utah, a daughter of Orvel Wallace Sr. and Elsie Elvira Vail Henrikson. She married Norval Benjamin Ewing March 24, 1937 in Omaha, Nebraska. The marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple.She was involved with her church, especially youth groups. She and her husband founded a square dance group named The Young Generations. She was an accomplished artist and loved to teach art and was a member of the ISA. She loved to dance, dearly loved her family and enjoyed eating.

Survivors include her children, Francesca (Fancie) Brian Giles, West Valley; Eugene (Margo) Ewing, West Jordan; Dana K. Allen, Mesa, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Henrickson, San Diego, Calif.; Orvel Wallace Henrikson, Jr. Santa Clara. She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 16, 1997, at 12 noon, in the granger Stake Center, 2850 West 3830 South, with Bishop Jim Fox officiating. Friends may call at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the church.
