Lena V. Jones Luker, 88, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away May 12, 1997 in Salt Lake City.

Born February 8, 1909 in Salt Lake City to Frank David and Caroline Mace Jones. Married William Caleb Luker June 3, 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.An active church member, she served in the Primary and Relief Society and the Boy Scouts of America; also served as PTA President when her children were young. Everything she did was with her family in mind.

Besides her loving husband she leaves one son, William Craig (Janice) Luker; three daughters, Bonnie Jean (Kent) Curtis, Dolores (Don) Anderson and LaVerne Walton. 16 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren will ever remember the fun traditions and good food Grandma always provided. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank M. and William R. Jones; sisters, Marie Barlow and Lorraine Schetselaar.

Funeral services will be 12 noon on Friday, May 16, 1997 at the Jefferson Ward Chapel, 1883 South West Temple. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 So. Highland Drive and Friday at the ward 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
