2 volunteer groups honor Workers Comp Fund of Utah

Two different organizations have honored the Workers Compensation Fund of Utah, a quasi-public mutual insurance company owned by its policyholders, for volunteer work in the community.

The 1997 Volunteer Achievement Award from the Utah Commission on Volunteers and the 25th Anniversary Corporate Volunteer Award from the Volunteer Center in Salt Lake City were the results of work in the Murray School District.In addition to donating computer equipment, tutoring students at Parkside Elementary School and providing internships for students at Murray High School, funds contributed by WCFU employees also paid for Parkside students to attend a special children's performance by the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company.
