Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow share more than a flair for playing ditzy blond bombshells. Both are former geeks, it turns out.
"In high school I was the one after the football game, when everyone said, `Come on, Mitch is driving,' I'd say, `Mitch! He's 16 and he's had a beer! Why would you get into a car with him?' " Kudrow, the co-star of NBC's "Friends," told Redbook magazine.Sorvino, who won a best supporting actress Oscar last year for her role in "Mighty Aphrodite," said she was a social washout in high school.
"Maybe I deserved some of the misery I experienced, but I don't think that's true," said Sorvino, a Chinese-speaking honors graduate from Harvard.
Kudrow, a Vassar graduate, and Sorvino play one-time geeky fashion victims who take revenge on their former classmates in "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion."
