Enrique Perez plows volcanic ashes under his corn fields in the mountain town of San Diego in the Mexican state of Puebla Tuesday. Mexico ordered aircraft to avoid the rumbling Popocateptl volcano but said the crater's recent activity was no reason for nearby residents to be alarmed. Ashes that shot into the air during a nearly half-hour burst of activity Sunday night floated as far as the Gulf Coast, 140 miles east of the volcano.
