As part of the Deseret News celebration for moving into new corporate headquarters, the newspaper will sponsor a free All-Star Salute to Youth Concert at Abravanel Hall Saturday, May 24, at 8 p.m.
The Deseret News has sponsored Salute to Youth concerts with the Utah Symphony for 38 years. This special concert is a gift to Deseret News readers.Several former soloists will return to perform in this special concert under the direction of Maestro Joseph Silverstein. Four free tickets will be given to each individual or family for the asking on a first-come, first-served basis.
To obtain tickets, visit the ticket office at Abravanel Hall, temporarily located on the plaza in front of the building.
"Salute to Youth is something we're very proud of, so this seemed appropriate to coincide with the opening of our new building," said Deseret News Publisher Wm. James Mortimer.
