TRIATHLON. The South County Triathlon #1 will be May 26 at South Valley Pool in Riverton, 1125 W. 12765 South. Heavyweight, novice, Mt. Bike, family, non-swimming water walkers, teams and age divisions. 5K run, 10-mile bike, 250-meter swim. 467-4203.
SOUTH COUNTY. The South County 3-mile run will be May 26. Start at the South Valley Pool in Riverton, 1125 W. 12765 South. 467-4203.
SALT LAKE CLASSIC. The 20th Salt Lake Classic 10K and 5K run/walk will be held May 31. 5K walk starts 7:20 a.m. and 10K at 8:40 a.m. Races start at the Gallivan Utah Center. 972-7828.
WILD ROSE. The Wild Rose Mountain Bike Hill Climb, Biathlon and Foot Race will be May 31. Start time 7 a.m. 2,500 foot vertical in 7.5 miles, 5K run. All age classes. 467-4203.
CANYON SPRINT. The Cottonwood Heights/Alta Peruvian Lodge Canyon Sprint will be June 1. The 7.6 mile run starts 6:30 a.m. Mountain racing series. 467-4203.
TRIATHLON. On June 7, The June triathlon at Cottonwood Heights Rec Center. A 400-yard swim, 9.5-mile bike, 2.5-mile run. Start 7 a.m. at the center, 7500 S. 2700 East.
RUN. On June 7, the Orem Family Summerfest 5K. Start 8 a.m. in 56 N. State in Orem. 229-7035.

Tennis
LESSONS. Farmington is offering youth tennis for people starting at age 5. Call for registration times. $20 per participant.
LESSONS. Copperview Community Center, 8446 S. 240 West, is offering tennis lessons to youths between 6 and 18 and adults. Sessons begin June 9, June 23, July 7, July 21, Aug.4 and Aug. 18. Fee is $25 for 8 group lessons. 561-9975.

Cycling
MOAB BIKE PATROL. The Moab bike patrol is implementing its trail marking and maintenance program for 1997. The project is open to anybody who wants to help, generally on the second Saturday of each month to maintain some of the world's great bike trails and promote the sport. Grand County Search and Rescue has reported fewer rescue incidents as a result of past trail marking and maintenance projects. Dates are as follows: June 14 Gemini Bridges; July and August TBA, possibly Kokopelli's Trail; Sept. 13 Amasa Back; Oct. 11 Porcupine Ruin; Nov. 8 Pritchett/Back of Behind; Dec. 13 Poison Spider. Swimming
INSTRUCTORS. Farmington City Recreation is looking for Swim Lesson Instruction. Instructions must possess a Red Cross W.S.I. Certification and must be available in the morning, Monday through Thursday starting the week of June 16. Lessons will run until the end of August. Other events
Associated Wheels of Utah, meets the 2nd Monday of each month at Round Table Pizza on 54th South and Redwood Road to plan the Annual Charity Car Show. Proceeds go to help individuals with mental retardation. All are invited to attend, club member or not. 364-5060.
BOWLING. Salt Lake County Parks & Rec. is offering a 6-week bowling program for youth ages 6-12 at Fairmont Bowl beginning May 10th. Cost is $30 which includes lane fees, shoe rental, instructions and practice time. 538-2062.
