Richard Charles Fry, 71, passed away May 22, 1997 in Salt Lake City.

Born July 19, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lee Ralph and Doris Baxter Fry. He graduated from South High School and attended the University of Utah. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946.He married Maxcine Rueckert, November 12, 1947, later divorced. Married Lu Jean Tuescher, June 24, 1967, who preceded him in death on April 28, 1995. He married De Anna Edwards Bollschweiler, October 30, 1996. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Dick retired in 1987 after a career of 33 years with the Utah Department of Transportation, where he was a design engineer. He was a certified ski instructor for 42 years. He spent his winters on the slopes at Alta, teaching at the Alta Ski School. The summers were enjoyed boating and water skiing with his family and dear friends at his home at Bear Lake. He was a devoted and loving father and very proud of his family and their accomplishments.

Survived by his wife, De Anna; daughter, Leslie Sage and her husband, Jim, Salt Lake City; son, Mark R. Fry and his wife, Kathy, Francis, UT; grandchildren, Jamey and Aimee Sage; Craig and Stephanie Fry. He is also remembered by his brother, Robert Fry; and sisters, Pat Ryan and Penny Gough, all of Salt Lake City. Many nieces and nephews will never forget his kind, gentle dignity. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, Stan Fry.

Services will be held Monday, June 2, 1997 at 12 noon at South Cottonwood Stake, 1250 East 4800 South, Salt Lake City. Friends may call at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 So. 900 East, Salt Lake City, Sunday evening, June 1, from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the Stake Center. Interment, Mt. View Memorial Estate, 3115 East 7800 South.
