Fredrick William Dunnigan, age 80, died May 3, 1997 in Salt Lake City.
Born February 23, 1917 in Goldfield, Nevada, a son of Edgar Orlin and Mae Burns Dunnigan. Married Rehan Smith on June 12, 1948 in Salt Lake City. Fred joined the LDS Church in 1993, and was married and sealed to his family for eternity in 1994 in the Jordan River Temple.Fred leaves behind a legacy of happy memories camping with his family every year at Christmas Meadows. He also had a reputation throughout the valley for his superb golden delicious apples. He will be sorely missed, but we are glad he is at peace. We appreciate the loving care given by the Willow Wood Care Center.
Survived by his wife, Rehan, Salt Lake City; children: Naida (Robert S.) Stayner, Brent William (Jann) Dunnigan, James Arthur (Vicki) Dunnigan, Carol (Larry) Rainey, and Daniel Fred (Cindy) Dunnigan; 14 grandchildren. Preceded in death by sisters, Ann Bellis and Marion Cook; brothers, Ed and George Dunnigan.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 12 noon, at Winder 3rd Ward, 1250 East 4530 South. Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Wednesday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery
