Ruth Vernice Johnson Dahl, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and precious friend, passed away May 5, 1997, Salt Lake City.

Born October 2, 1924, Salt Lake City, to Charles Theodore and Jane Annie Fearnley Johnson.Married Irving Francis Dahl, June 27, 1945, Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, having served in many callings, Den Mother, she served as her two sons Den Mother, served in the Junior Sunday School Presidency. She was quilting chairman in her ward, serving in this calling for over 10 years. She was a talented quilter, passing this talent onto many. She retired from O.C. Tanner's in January 1990.

Survivors, Husband, Irving; children, Carolyn Ruth Dahl, Laurie Ann Dahl, Ronald Keith (Jo Ann) Dahl, and Brian Irving (Susan) Dahl; 19 grandchildren, Wendy Marie Garff (Matthew), Lisa Ruth Weilenmann, M. Brandon Weilenmann, Tara Lee Weilenmann, Justin Jakob Weilenmann, Heidi Ann Weilenmann, Matthew Dahl Weilenmann, and Joshua Thorpe Weilenmann, Mindi Dahl Marshall (Bryan), Jennifer Dahl, Cynthia Dahl, Heather Danielle Dahl, Heidi Lynn Dahl, Eric Sterling Dahl, Spencer Golden Dahl, Emily Anne Dahl, Dallin Parker Dahl, and Ashley Ann Dahl; one great-grandchild, Spencer Davis; brothers, Ferris, Raymond, and Lorin Johnson.

Also preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Michael Weilenmann.

Funeral services, Saturday, May 10th, 11 a.m., Hillside Stake Center, 1400 South 1900 East, Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call Friday 6-8 P.M. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, and also one hour prior at the stake center on Saturday.

Interment, Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations to Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Missionary Fund.
