Richard Newton Sanborn, age 30, died May 6, 1997 at his home in Bountiful, Utah, of an acute sudden illness.

He was born April 7, 1967 in Glenrigde, New Jersey, a son of Gordon D. and Dorothy Sanborn. He married his eternal companion, Rebecca Bernards, March 17, 1989 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served a mission in the Utah North Mission and was an excellent doctrine gospel teacher. He enjoyed art work, reading and most of all his family. He was a wonderful husband and father.He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; daughters, Kimberly, Heather, and Amanda and son, Ryan, all of Bountiful; his parents; brothers, Kevin and Rod (Debbie) and sister, Karen (Rob) Bolzendahl. Preceded in death by a brother Chris.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, 1997 at 12 noon at the Bountiful 22nd Ward Chapel, 1475 North 300 West. Friends call 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and again Saturday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Richard Sanborn Trust, America First Credit Union, 48 North 500 West, Bountiful.
