Lee J. Peacock has been named the new executive director of the Utah Petroleum Association, a division of Rocky Mountain Oil & Gas Assoc., an industry trade group.

Peacock replaces his father, Jim Peacock, who retired after serving in the position for 16 years.

Lee Peacock has been associate director of the UPA for the past three years. His responsibilities have included legislative and regulatory activities, and he has served as industry spokesman for refining and environmental issues.

Peacock graduated from the University of Utah in economics and had previous trade association experience with the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, the Utah Manufacturers Association, and the Utah Chapter of Associated General Contractors.
