FBI agents who specialize in child abductions and serial killers will examine the transcripts of police interviews with the parents of JonBenet Ramsey, the Rocky Mountain News reported Thursday.
The FBI's Child Abduction and Serial Killer Unit will analyze statements made by John and Patsy Ramsey, said the newspaper, citing a source close the case. The unit consulted with police before the interviews.Patsy Ramsey spoke to police for about six hours and her husband for about two hours on April 30. Following the sessions, the parents publicly declared their innocence in the slaying of the 6-year-old beauty pageant winner.
It was the couple's only formal interrogation by police since their daughter was found strangled Dec. 26, eight hours after her mother said she found a ransom note demanding $118,000 for the girl's return.
