Young LDS men of the Aaronic Priesthood, their fathers and Young Men adult leaders will attend a satellite fireside Sunday, May 18, that will be focused on the youths' pioneer heritage.
With a theme, "Faith in Every Footstep," the program will originate at 6 p.m. in the Salt Lake Tabernacle and will be broadcast over the church's satellite television network.The program will be beamed to more than 3,000 meetinghouses of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
Speakers will be LDS Church President Gordon B. Hinckley; Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve; Elder Jack H Goaslind, of the Presidency of the Seventy and Young Men general president; and Presiding Bishop H. David Burton.
The May 18 program will be rebroadcast at 8 p.m. that evening on KBYU-TV, Ch. 11. A program with the same theme and directed at young women of the church was broadcast on the church satellite network in late March.
